Janet Hatten created this very colourful abstract back in 2019. Could you have guessed she did it with plastic spoons? Abstract art, especially in the photography space, is a great way to explore your creativity and try things you wouldn’t normally do.
This week’s feature image is by Carol Harris. The sun rays were captured back in 2018 in Pukaskwa National Park, which is located on the north shore of Lake Superior. Carols says the park has “some of the most beautiful evening skies I have ever seen.”
Our longest standing member, Bob tucker, took this shot of a pattern in some wood back in 2009. He captured the light, shadows and the texture of the wood quite nicely. Great shot, Bob!
This week we feature Bob Jones who, in 2016 took this shot of a Yellow Lady’s Slipper. This image is a warm reminder that despite the rainy weather and grey skies we’ve had for most of the past few weeks, there’s hope for some nice spring shooting very soon.
Douglas Hart captured the essence of the Spring we see around here where the snow is gone, but the foliage hasn’t yet begun to replenish itself. Douglas calls this image “Old Farm Homestead”, and there are plenty of such places in the Grey Bruce area.
It’s only fitting to show this amazing moon photo by Julian Delf in this week’s Flickr Feature since there is a crew of astronauts on there way to make a fly by of the moon for the first time in half a century. It’s truly a historic event.
This week’s image is a gorgeous sunset taken by Juergen Trotz at Oliphant, Ontario. He went out with some friends with the intent to capture the setting sun, and he definitely nailed it.
This beautiful sunset at Clearwater Lake was taken by Marsh Courtney. It reminds us of the peace and tranquility that can often be found in nature.
This moody image of the full moon rising by Cindie Fearnall was taken during a cold wintery evening near Bognor, Ontario. This makes you shiver just looking at it.
This week’s Flickr Feature comes to you by Randy O’Hara with his first ever capture of a hummingbird in flight. He nailed this perfect profile shot of a female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird back in 2023.
