Maureen Elliott captured this Savannah Sparrow while on holiday in Newfoundland. She came across it at the southwestern tip of the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland in the Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve. The bird was foraging through the grass when he looked up for this lovely photo op.
This Great Egret was captured by Michelle Ruth during a morning when the sun had backlit this majestic bird. Since Michelle purchased a 100-500 mm lens to accompany her new Canon R5 Mk2, she says it hasn’t come off, and it’s a good thing or she may have missed out on this beautiful moment.
Michelle Ruth took this shot of an Egret back in 2024. She is blessed to have a river run through the back of her property and this particular bird likes to hang out in her back yard.
