Julia Vukovic

I took an interest in photography as a child. I have managed to catalog my life in photos. They all tell a story.

I joined the Owen Sound Camera Club in 2014 by the influence of a friend. She would bring me to the club meetings and we would enjoy taking photo walks together. I am having a lot of fun with the Camera Club assignments. I started out in the club with a Panasonic Lumix camera and now have a Nikon and my trusty Smartphone.

Time has flown since 2014 and my skills have improved–my friend has moved away, however I have continued with the club and have met wonderful people there and have made new friends to go on photo walks with.

I enjoy photography as a hobby and encourage others to join in on the fun–all you need is a Smartphone these days. We have club members who use their phones for club assignments all the time. Some of our members range from beginners to professional photographers. I can now say I am some where in the middle. Some of my photos have won awards in the Owen Sound Fall Fair.

It is a life enriching hobby that I really whole heartedly enjoy. Soon the club will be in its 70th year–I am so glad to be a part of it.
