As we navigate our way through some hot and humid weather, this image taken by Douglas Hart reminds us that the cold weather wasn’t that long ago. He took this at Big Bay on April 11, 2026. That’s only three months ago!
This image of an elk was captured by Juergen Trotz. He had set out to get a shot of the sunset but the clouds had other ideas. Luckily, he saw this while he was out, and although the elk is but a small portion of the frame, the vastness of the scene reminds us that there is a lot of open space in the world, even when we think we’re getting too crowded.
Back in 2020, Marsha Courtney captured this image of raindrops on some barren twigs. Taken two days after Christmas, it appears we had an easy winter that year. Marsha calls this on, “Angel Tears”.
