At our Feb, 2015 meeting, Rob Cotton talked about the Grey Bruce Image Archives and how members can contribute images for the viewing pleasure of future historians. Below you’ll find Rob’s instructions for 3 different ways you can submit images.
- Online
Use the ‘Order Prints Online’ feature of Foto Art’s website at http://www.fotoart.ca- scroll down to and click on ‘Online prints with Dakis’
- under ‘Fotoart’s Digital Photo Printing Software’ click on the blue bar ‘Launch photo application’
- follow the prompts
- under Comments and Special instructions write
“please place in GBIA/OSCC folder for Rob Cotton”
Remember !No images will be printed and you will not be charged!
I will be able to transfer the files from the Foto Art Lab computer to GBIA.
More details for submitting Online can be found in this pdf: Online Ordering Foto Art.
- At Foto Art Camera Shop
They can take their photos to Foto Art Camera Shop and have the staff assist them in downloading their files to the stores front counter computer.
That computer doesn’t have a DVD drive so I would encourage members to transfer their photos using a USB drive. They are more economical in any case.
Of course the Foto Art staff will assist anyone who has to bring their photos on some other media.
I will be able to transfer the files from the Foto Art Lab computer to GBIA.
- Use Dropbox
Members using Dropbox can share their folder link with me, racotton@wightman.ca
