July – Extra Assignment 1
Don’t forget to get you images in for the first extra assignment for this season – your interpretation of “Isolation”. This could relate to the current Covid-19 situation and the isolation that has created during self-isolation, or it could be any other image that creates a sense of isolation. Images should be in by the 30th June.

April 2020 – Update
Despite not being able to meet in person for our April meeting members still submitted a number of entries for the “Local Wildlife” assignment. We have created a video of the presentation that would have been at the meeting and you can find it on Youtube under the Owen Sound Camera Club channel.
We also have a new Gallery on the website from Marg Harrison, check out the other galleries as well. There are also updates to the About and History pages.
Our May meeting will most likely be cancelled, but members keep sending in your assignment entries. This month’s theme is “Cold” so get your entries in by April 28 and we will create another video for those entries.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our regular OSCC meeting for April 7th, 2020 has been cancelled. However, we still urge members to submit photos as you normally would (same deadline). IF you are interested in a critique – include that in your file name, and I can post them on facebook for anyone to give an opinion. For those giving comments for critiquing – remember to please keep the comments constructive.
We will post a slideshow on the website. We are looking into posting the video on Flkr as well. The slideshow will be included into the May meeting.
Our Library exhibit may need to be altered due to the pandemic. We’ll keep you posted as best we can.

Randy started with the news items, this included a reminder about the outing to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, the club photographic display at the library (May and June) and Bob Jones’s display at the Full Spectrum Gallery at FotoArt, Owen Sound. We had 58 images in this months assignment “Reflections”, these are on the slideshow here. There were two portfolios, one from Randy that included as slideshow and a video, and one from Julian on “Playing with Peonies”. Finally Diane presented some ideas for next months assignment “Local Wildlife”, don’t forget to enter them by the last Tuesday of this month :-).
Upcoming March 3rd Meeting
I hope you all have your Reflection images in for this months assignment. As well as the assignments we will have two member profiles from Randy and Julian. Don’t forget if you are interested in the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory trip this is the last meeting before we go.
