Don’t forget to get your Fruit and Veg image entries in for the next assignment, closing date is midnight 23rd February. This time you might be able to eat your subjects after you have taken them!

I hope everyone has been shaking and moving their cameras around for this months assignment ICM (Intentional Camera Movement). Members images should be submitted by midnight January 26th so we can create the video for the next virtual meeting.

Hope everyone is still keeping safe and well. I expect you have all been finding interesting things to photograph for the December assignment – Up Close (what is it?). There is lots of opportunintes for taking objects from interesting angles, so see what you can come up with. The cut-off date for entries in Tuesday 24th November.

We hope everyone had a good summer, well photographically at least, and are now ready for Fall. This months assignment is “Before/After (In Camera/Editing)”. So we need two images, one original and one after you have edited it, let’s see what you can come up with.

The deadline for entries has been extended till 9th October 🙂

As we start the new 2020/21 OSCC season we have our regular first assignment of “Summer Favorites”, which can be any image taken during this summer. Entries are due by next Tuesday, 25th August, so if you don’t have anything yet you have a few more days left.

As we are coming up to the end of the 2019/20 season don’t forget to enter an image, or two, into the last assignment of the year – “Pathways and Walkways”. Entries are due in by midnight 28th July please.

Don’t forget to get you images in for the first extra assignment for this season – your interpretation of “Isolation”. This could relate to the current Covid-19 situation and the isolation that has created during self-isolation, or it could be any other image that creates a sense of isolation. Images should be in by the 30th June.

Although there is no face-to-face June meeting for the club don’t forget to get your “In the Garden” assignment images in, the deadline is midnight tonight (26th May). It looks like it is going to be a nice sunny day so get outside for some last minute shots.

As you all know the May meeting has been cancelled as well. We are still accepting entries for this months assignment “Cold”, cut off is midnight tonight. We will follow the same procedure as last month and create a Youtube video of the entries.

Despite not being able to meet in person for our April meeting members still submitted a number of entries for the “Local Wildlife” assignment. We have created a video of the presentation that would have been at the meeting and you can find it on Youtube under the Owen Sound Camera Club channel.

We also have a new Gallery on the website from Marg Harrison, check out the other galleries as well. There are also updates to the About and History pages.

Our May meeting will most likely be cancelled, but members keep sending in your assignment entries. This month’s theme is “Cold” so get your entries in by April 28 and we will create another video for those entries.
